MIAD #3

So to start off, the hallway was too small to actually get a good picture of this piece. But this is part of a project where students had to show diffirent prints and marks in diffrient ways I guess you could say. For example, there was one that was bike tracks and the student dipped bike wheels in ink and rode it across a piece of paper. So I think this is really neat how they kind of took apart the elements of the pizza and printed on them individually.

MIAD #2

At MIAD I found this awesome painting and pretty much fell in love. I was like "dude you can put Collage on a painting?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" and I freaked out! And then I pretty much fainted when I found out that Our up-comming project was using collage. I'm so excited to try this all out! Anyway, I don't know who this is by but I like the way it is abstract and used the colors in the photos in the actual paint. It really just works in a beautiful way.

MIAD #1

I found this photo that I really liked. I couldn't find who it was by but it really grabbed my attention. When I shoot photography I normally make it very saturated and bright, but this photo was different. It is pale and soft, but that is what really caught my attention.

Katie Gin Grass Gallery

At the Katie Gin grass Gallery, there really wasn't much that I liked, mostly because it was a very small Garry and there was a lot of sculptures (I'm not in to that). But I found these paintings, all by an artist named Mammer. I was SO inspired by these. In a weird way, these paintings actually made me feel something. They are so real looking that I got hungry looking at them. I am going to attempt to paint like this the next time I sit down for a painting .

The art gallery we visited in Door County WI. Every year my family takes a trip to Door County and stop at this gallery, pretty much just cause it looks so cool. But for the past three years, my grandpas art work has been excepted into the gallery (which is a big deal). So this year we went to go see one of his paintings there, which made the visit that much better. My Grandpa is a water color artist.....just adding that! :)

Scholastic website

I really liked this website. Looking at all the work really inspired me!  But this first picture kinda made me laugh. It's so amazing and kinda gross at the same time, which is why I liked it.

This second one just made me think of how beauty is such a skin deep thing and you can be beautiful but if you year it all up it all comes down to what's inside. :)

So this Summer has been SO BUSY (with work and dance and vacations and stuff). I literally have had NO inspiration to create art at all! So i figured I'd go out and buy some art supplies to maybe force myself into doing it. So I went out and spent over $200 on new art supplies and was sooooo excited about it all. I got a new camera, new canvased, sketch books, pencils, paint etc. and I got home to find....I STILL DIDN'T WANT TO DO ANY ART! This is SO not like me so I sat down and just started to paint and came up with this eye. That night I started to sketch my blanket in bed. Even though I HATE the final results of both, at least I got something done lol. But good news is, I am back in my art mood and out of my "artistic writers block......wait no painters block". YAY SUMMER!
